A sports resort with an athletics stadium
At the Albir Garden Sports Hotel we have the most complete facilities for athletes. Our athletics facilities, in addition to the track and the field, also feature a throwing area and all kinds of sports equipment for first-rate training: hurdles, starting blocks, hammer, discus, javelin, shot put, medicine balls, weights, Olympic weights, ropes, exercise/resistance bands, Olympic bars, etc.
Our facilities are not solely focused on our stadium. We also have a complete gym with all kinds of machines and instruments for cardio, strength and functional training. We also have indoor and outdoor areas for group training. And after a hard training session, there’s nothing better to recover than our wellness area with indoor pool, jacuzzi, contrast zone, Turkish bath and sauna or have a massage with our professional masseurs and physios.
We host individual athletes, who come here to prepare themselves for their competitions alongside their coaches and make their stages, to national/international clubs and federations/associations. Apart from the stages, we can also organise tests and meetings as preparatory competitions for the official national and international championships.
We collaborated organizing an International Para Athletics meeting alongside the FEDDF in October 2019 as a previous test before Dubai 2019 World Para Athletics Championships. We also were one of the official hosts of the 2019 Spanish Athletics Championships. We yearly work with athletes from all over the world: Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Bahrain, Cuba, Spain, Poland, Estonia, Finland, France, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Holland, UAE, Latvia, Germany, and Switzerland, amongst others. A lot of them came to prepare for the 2019 Doha IAAF World Athletics Championships as well.
In the end of September 2020 we had the pleasure to organise the Control Absoluto de Atletismo de la FEDC 2020 which was be held in l’Alfàs del Pi (Alicante) on the 26th and 27th, alongside the local Sports council, FESA and FACV — Blind and visually impaired athletes had the chance to compete again in order to reach the qualifying marks for the Tokyo 2021 Paralympic Games.
In the beginning of October 2020, we also had the pleasure again to enjoy the presence of some coaches and athletes with Cerebral Palsy/Acquired Brain Injuries of the Spanish Para Athletics Federation, who have been around with us for a mini stage to prepare and train at our facilities aiming to the 2020 Spanish National Para Athletics Championships held in November and of course with total focus on the next World Para Athletics European Championships and the Paralympic Games of Tokyo 2021.️
